The expansion and renovation of the Calgary Telus Convention Centre doubled its size and capacity, enabling the Centre to host much larger conventions and, in turn, boost the local economy.
The expanded Centre means a world-class conference and convention facility is now in the core of Calgary. Improvements and additions include a 4,500 m2 clear span exhibit Hall, new meeting spaces, client service, administration areas and underground parkade.
The existing Centre now expands across Stephen Avenue into a new building, linked by a pedestrian bridge (+15). The new building includes the restoration and re-use of the historical Neilson Block. The existing convention centre, MacLeod Hall, was significantly modernized as part of the project.
