    Since joining GEC Architecture in 2020, Ellen Penner has consistently demonstrated her ability to deliver innovative and impactful design solutions that seamlessly integrate functionality and user engagement. With a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies from Dalhousie University, Ellen leverages her academic foundation and professional expertise to drive forward-thinking design strategies that align with client and stakeholder objectives.

    Ellen’s diverse portfolio encompasses a range of sectors, including community infrastructure and complex transit-oriented developments. Her recent contributions include leading the at-grade station design for Calgary’s transformative Green Line, supporting the evolution of Edmonton’s Capital Line South LRT Extension, and advancing accessibility upgrades for Calgary’s iconic Plus 15 network.

    As a member of the Alberta Association of Architects and an Envision Sustainability Professional, Ellen is committed to embedding sustainability principles into every facet of her work, delivering designs that not only meet present-day requirements but also anticipate future needs.
