On October 22, The Station at Cochrane Crossing was honoured with a Canadian Wood Council WoodWorks Prairie Award at the 2024 WoodWorks Summit in Toronto!
Designed as an inclusive and innovative public space, The Station at Cochrane Crossing serves as a central transit hub for Cochrane residents and as a versatile venue for events and programs that benefit the Cochrane community. Mass timber is a key element of the building’s design, selected for its aesthetic appeal, alignment with the project’s sustainability goals, and as a nod to the Town’s history.
The Canadian Wood Council’s Wood Design & Building Awards recognize and celebrate the work of architectural professionals from around the world who achieve excellence in wood design and construction. We’re thrilled to receive this recognition in partnership with the Town of Cochrane, and extend our congratulations to our fellow 2024 award recipients.
