Redefining the heart of a historic campus.
The Heritage Centre comprises a main gathering space, a linear gallery, and a connection to the historic water tower at the heart of St. Mary’s University campus. Drawing inspiration from the timber frame of the historic water tower, the Heritage Centre’s simple post-and-beam construction provides a striking interior and exterior character that is contemporary, yet appropriate to the scale and context to St. Mary’s campus.
The main space comprises approximately 1,700 square feet and is highly flexible in its use. Retractable theatre seating for 120 will provide for a theatre function suitable for educational uses as well as dramatic and musical performances. Large sliding barn doors will open to the linear gallery space, and in the summer months, to the courtyard.
