Spaces inspired by collaboration and curiosity.
GEC recently completed renovations of each of our Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto studios, developing work environments that are a true reflection of our culture, while also highlighting the main architectural features of each building that we operate within.
GEC operates in a highly collaborative manner, working together to deliver a multitude of architectural and design projects across various sectors. We collaborate between studios, and we have hybrid work environments. Both factors require ample meeting rooms of various sizes that fit out with appropriate technology to accommodate virtual meetings. In the design of our studios, we wanted each space to reflect this culture and allow for our employees to work together in a seamless manner. This resulted in strong similarities between the programmatic layout of each space, which are organized as open office environments with strategically located kitchens/gathering spaces with family-style tables that accommodate all-staff meetings, social interactions, and celebrations – which are all important aspects to encouraging collaboration, team building, and innovation.
GEC’s Calgary’s studio is located in the Maxwell Bates building, in the eclectic neighborhood of Mission just south of downtown.
