How can plants make us healthier?

SemBioSys Genetics Inc. (SBS) is a dynamic Calgary-based biotechnology company focused on the development of recombinant therapeutic proteins from plants. Their laboratory and offices needed to support their research and project-oriented mandate. Multiple laboratories allow for numerous projects to be undertaken concurrently. Further, shared instrumentation areas are located adjacent to the laboratories providing flexibility and ease of use.

A master plan, anticipating future growth, was developed to ensure that initial construction did not preclude future additions. Mechanical and electrical services were incorporated to maximize flexibility for testing and analysis of alternative production techniques. Considerable attention was paid to colours, daylighting, views, and overhead lighting to create a pleasant and focused working environment.
