Alistair Ross Technology Centre

Providing the runway for tech startups to take off.

The Alastair Ross Technology Centre (ARTC) for Calgary Technologies Inc. (CTI) is a mixed-use development designed for multiple phases of construction. Located on the University Innovation Park, it serves as a link between the University of Calgary campus to the south and the commercial research activity taking place in University Innovation Park. Phase I was the conversion from a purpose-built wet lab building to office space for technology tenants. Phase II was the addition of a three-storey office building designed for small tenants with a high-technology focus.

Phase III (ARTC III) is a 100,000 square foot addition to the existing ARTC. ARTC III will complement and expand on CTI’s mandate of providing incubator space and services for small high-tech and bio-tech business by integrating high quality, flexible office space, shared commercial services (meeting and conference facilities, administration support, etc.), biological laboratories and associated services, and high-tech laboratories in one purpose-built building. The site will incorporate an ample amount of underground parking and secure loading space. Integrating these components into a single space will make this building the first of its kind in Alberta.
