No cars, no parking, no worries.
This project finds itself in the context of the expansion and redevelopment of Calgary’s East Village, which has allowed for new approaches to urbanism and innovative design. It is a transit-oriented development; promoting walking, cycling, public transit, and car sharing as alternate modes of transportation.
The design provides its residents with a purpose-built bike storage area, complete with a dedicated entrance ramp allowing bikes to be walked up the stairs. N3 comprises efficiently designed one and two-bedroom units, where the average unit size is approximately 500 square feet. GEC developed the design with the intent of providing enhanced social amenity spaces, both through private social areas for the residents and public spaces that are open to the greater urban fabric.
