From its location at the heart of downtown Cochrane, the Station at Cochrane Crossing is a new front door for visitors to the town and a hub for the community, supporting new pedestrian and transit connections, helping residents access services, and growing innovative businesses.
The Station at Cochrane Crossing is a universally-accessible, central community gathering space that supports the COLT Transit System, Southland Region Transit Service On-It, local taxis, cyclists, and pedestrians. Uniting the past, present, and future of Cochrane, the Station at Cochrane Crossing is a 7,700 square foot facility that houses the Visitor Information Centre, Business Development, and Town Administrative services. A separate innovation centre, planned for in a future phase, will include an incubator site designed to help locals businesses grow by providing networking and co-working spaces, enabling innovation and growth. The Station at Cochrane Crossing is located, by design, to accommodate a future passenger train platform for the planned YYC to Banff rail connector.
