Inspiring social innovation and connections.

GEC worked with Mount Royal University’s facilities group and key stakeholders to repurpose underutilized office space into a social innovation hub: the Trico Changemakers Studio. The studio provides a space for students and faculty to develop partnerships with external partners.

A variety of spaces were developed to accommodate different types of partnerships and activities, from permanent offices to drop-in spaces and collaborative studios. These spaces will foster different modes of work by different organizations and individuals. The diversity of spaces encourages interaction and cross-pollination between groups, as well as provides a revenue stream for the Studio.
