Enriching the lives of animals and people.
The rejuvenated WHT MEAD Building is located at the heart of Lakeland College’s Vermilion campus, immediately east of the campus quad and south of Alumni Hall. This project is instrumental in the continued growth of the College’s agricultural and environmental sciences faculties while providing needed student collaboration spaces and addressing campus-wide classroom and lecture theatre shortages.
The project includes two new 150-person lecture theatres specifically designed to address the needs of contemporary students and new teaching requirements as we engage in a post-pandemic learning environment. This has resulted in a design that is focused on the health and wellness of occupants, with increased integration of AV/IT infrastructure, allowing for distance, in-person, and hybrid learning.
