David is a big-picture thinker who believes that successful architecture is about finding the ideal balance between performance and design. A senior Partner at GEC, he’s spent the last 40 years practising first-principles analysis, challenging conventional wisdom, and planning and designing functional, sustainable and precedent-setting buildings. He is a Fellow with the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada, a registered architect with the Alberta Association of Architects, a member of the Architectural Institutes of British Columbia and Saskatchewan, and a LEED® Accredited Professional.
David is an adjunct professor in the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary and has taught courses in building structures, building science and engineering systems integration.
