For over 16 years, David has played a pivotal role in shaping GEC’s portfolio of sporting, recreational, and community projects. His passion for design, coupled with a keen artistic sense, has led to the successful completion of several high-profile and award-winning projects by GEC during his tenure, including WinSport’s Markin MacPhail Centre, the Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge in Calgary, the Servus Arena in Red Deer, and the Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre. David holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto (2007) and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Studies from the University of Lethbridge (2000). He is a registered architect with the Alberta Association of Architects and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. David is actively involved with several non-profit organizations at the community levels in Calgary, including co-vice chair of the RAIC Calgary Chapter, a volunteer with d.talks, and a volunteer with the Mount Pleasant Community Association on their Community Hall Renovation and Public Art Committee.
