With a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Calgary, Tia brings a distinctive blend of analytical precision and creative ingenuity to every project.
Tia’s portfolio reflects her versatility and technical expertise, spanning institutional, transit, and aviation sectors. Recent highlights include leading the design of the new SAIT Taylor Family Campus Centre and the redevelopment of the Schulich School of Engineering Civil Wing at the University of Calgary. Her impactful work extends to the aviation sector, where she has navigated complex renovations at the Lethbridge and Calgary airports, ensuring both functionality and user-focused solutions. Tia has also contributed significantly to GEC’s own Calgary studio renovation, embodying the innovative spirit of the firm in her approach.
As a registered architect with the Alberta Association of Architects and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC), as well as her work as co-chair of the RAIC Calgary Network Tia is dedicated to advancing sustainable, inclusive, and future-focused design practices.
