The Health Sciences Centre Achieves LEED® Gold!

This week, Okanagan College’s Health Sciences Centre achieved LEED® Gold certification! Focused on reducing the building’s energy consumption and utilizing waste heat, solar power, energy recovery, and natural light, the HSC is a model for sustainable innovations on Canadian campuses. The Health Sciences Centre also meets Silver Certification of the WELL Educational Facilities Pilot Program and will earn the Canadian Green Building Council’s Zero Carbon Building Design certification through demonstration of zero-carbon balance.

Working collaboratively with our Okanagan College and our sustainability partner, EcoAmmo, was key to achieving such targets; congratulations to all involved!
