Thoughtfully blending into the Mill Creek Ravine, Hope Terrace is a resilient new home that honours its community and environment.

When the City of Edmonton needed to quickly create safe, supportive homes, the location—a quiet residential area next to the beautiful Mill Creek Ravine—demanded exceptional care. The challenge wasn't just to meet an aggressive deadline; it was to build a place of dignity that fit thoughtfully into the community, prioritized every resident's comfort and respected the environment.

Our strategy focused on people. We used volumetric modular construction to ensure rapid delivery while giving us the precision to embed universal design principles from the ground up. This meant designing every common area, corridor and all 30 suites with inclusivity in mind: accessible units, wide circulation spaces and a true barrier-free experience for everyone.

To honor the neighbourhood, the four-storey design was meticulously adapted to its setting. Through careful positioning, Hope Terrace ensures privacy for residents and neighbours alike, blending seamlessly with the ravine's natural environment. Our commitment to long-term resilience is seen in the building's performance: it exceeds national energy standards by 25 per cent, promising lower operating costs and a lighter environmental touch.

Hope Terrace delivers 30 secure, energy-efficient homes that are fundamentally accessible. It stands as proof that rapid construction and high standards for human-centered design can be perfectly balanced, offering dignity, safety and a true sense of belonging to Edmontonians in need.
