A new model for affordable housing.

Civida is setting the bar high with the new Londonderry mixed-market housing redevelopment project in Edmonton. This new and colorful addition to the neighborhood includes 240 new units consisting of an even mix of market-rate, affordable (20 per cent under market), and social housing units. The development aims to be a sustainable model of subsidized housing to provide a place for gathering and community.

The X formation creates two separate courtyards, encouraging people to meet and build community. One courtyard is open to the public for spontaneous gathering or on-site services such as daycare. The other is semi-private and includes a community garden.
