Senior Associates
Andrew has made a significant cultural and societal impact with his deep portfolio of work in the rehabilitation, renewal, and adaptive reuse of public recreation facilities. From renovating aging community centres to large premier athletic facilities, Andrew’s work in creating accessible, inspiring, and functional spaces strengthens community bonds. Commonwealth Stadium, Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge, and our most recent community recreation centres in Spruce Grove and Jasper are among his work.
Emma is an accomplished architect with more than a decade of experience creating thoughtful, community-focused spaces that emphasize accessibility, sustainability, and human connection. Her expertise is evident in award-winning public realm and post-secondary projects, which include the City of Edmonton’s Paul Kane Park Redevelopment, the Alberta Legislature Grounds Revitalization, and NorQuest College’s Miyonohk Park and CELT Streetscape.
Ashli is an exceptional leader throughout the technical phases of all projects she works on. With over 12 years of experience, her organization and quality control practices ensure consistency across work in a variety of sectors. Ashli is currently working on SAIT’s Taylor Family Campus Centre, MacEwan’s School of Business, and the University of Calgary’s Schulich School of Engineering Civil Wing Redevelopment.

Véro’s 12 years of experience designing community spaces across Alberta make her an asset to the leadership team at GEC. She brings a creative perspective to each project, understanding the needs of diverse user groups. Her recent impact on significant municipal and First Nations projects in the province is evident in the Tthëbátthı́ Dënesųłı̨ne Multi-Purpose Administration Building, Bearspaw First Nation Multi-Purpose Administration Building, and the Vecova Centre for All Abilities.
Ethan leads the technical team and oversees BIM execution throughout the technical phases of projects he works on, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The spaces enjoyed by students at schools such as Okanagan College, SAIT, and Banff Elementary are a testament to Ethan’s commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Shea is a talented architect and designer who uses his technical expertise and innovative approach to creating sustainable, functional, and visually engaging spaces. His work on the City of Edmonton’s Supportive Housing projects is an impactful example of his dedication to creating warm, durable buildings that serve immediate needs for residents of diverse backgrounds.
Shayne is a passionate interior designer with over 13 years of experience. Since joining GEC in 2016, he has worked on almost every post-secondary project, from small-scale renovations to brand new, multi-disciplinary buildings within a campus network. GEC’s strong relationships with post-secondary clients over the years are a testament to Shayne’s quality work, professionalism, and warmth he brings to every project. NAIT’s Productivity and Innovation Centre, University of Alberta’s University Commons, and Okanagan College’s Health Sciences Centre are among the new and notable.
